Kyle Eagle
kyle eagle likes to make things and work with his hands and feet. the hands, for drawing and writing, which is constantly. the feet, for dancing and running, which is where ever there is a tune with genuine soul, and nash park, clifton, nj for a slopeful jog.mr. eagle has been making artwork all his life, just ask his mom, or any frustrated girlfriend…or friend for that matter. his work was once described as the art of unfinished business, which he was gladly flattered by the remark. especially since it’s the title of an EPMD album. (one of the true great hip-hop groups.) one gastronomical whiz kid friend of his declared his style was somewhere between the Harlem Renaissance and the Small Faces. again, he blushed with delight.

in addition to visual art, he has a true passion for music, something he easily falls prey to. as a result, he considers himself an amateur jazz historian. his logs and logs of photographs, portraits, essays, interviews, plane tickets, road trips, and record collection are a testament to this. reference the recent chico hamilton, andy bey, and grachan moncur III releases.

As Kyle’s mom, I have watched him grow from drawing pictures on the back of the headboard at 18 months to today. He is defintely a gifted and unique artist. His family is so proud of him!

I have been a fan of Kyle’s work since I was a pre-teen, well, I guess I was a teen. Remarkably complex and accessible. Eagle never lets you down!

Jam…

As I watched Kyle grow up all his life, I knew that he was very gifted and had so much artistic talent. I am so proud to see some of his work being used and be seen. I’m so proud of him and love him!!

Kyle reminds me of “Either be seen the way you are or be the way you are seen.” by Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi. Extraordinary artist. What a wonderful feeling it must be to be able to offer something that is vital to our existence.

i met kyle in high school and can attest to his brilliance and genius with anything hes laid his hands on.hes truly an original and has been an inspiration to me over the years.

This is yet another individual, the likes of which you seldom will meet will always read about, he is truly not of this place, he is far beyond, and so very close to all of us. I look forward to work with this true artist in any capacity he allows.

i’ve enjoyed herr eagle’s work since the four years i sat in front of/behind/beside him in german class in high school. come to think of it, brown paper bags were his medium then and still fantastically original. excellent bio, kyle. thanks for sharing it.
