Kedran Kraich |
At the age of 5, Kedran Kraich remembers his grandfather shooting Polaroids of the Lego moonbases and starships his kindergarten hands meticulously built. Later that same year, Kedran's first foray into the gallery scene was secured as his drawing of a dairy cow (1979 - Newsprint, Crayons) complete with horns, udders and title circled the Greater Nebraska area. A year or so later he got his hands on a few cans of aerosol hair-paint and proceeded to not only color he and his friends hair, but every available scrap of cardboard deemed too small to breakdance on.
These days, Kedran taps into these early influences to create photographs, painted canvasses or repurposed scrap materials and other pieces of digital or analog mischief. He exhibits work on occasion around his current location of Denver, Colorado as well as 'far off' places like Melbourne Australia and Brooklyn, NYC. Early work like 'Cow' (Not For Sale) can be seen by appointment only in the small dining area of a childhood home in Arizona.
His photography work can be found in bits and pieces on a blog at www.photoked.blogspot.com . More imagery for purchase and pondering can be found very soon at www.brunalaruu.com as well www.kekida.com after it's upcoming launch. He can be contacted at nayked@gmail.com for commissioned paintings, photoshoots or a decent green chile recipe.
