Kristin is a freelance illustrator who recently returned to her native Norway, having graduated with a degree in illustration from Kingston University in 2004. She is currently based in Oslo, where she's working on a variety of commissions.

Kristin has a fondness for nature and mysteries and she loves drawing animals. She also has a soft spot for black birds - a recurring element in a lot of her work, and especially so in The Red Thread series, which won her silver in the 3x3 2nd Annual Student Competition 2005 and gold in Visuelt 2005. Other awards include The Macmillan Prize for Children's Picture Book Illustration 2003.
