Mary Kilvert is a freelance illustrator. She graduated with a degree in Illustration from Kingston University in 2004. During the course she found her love of pattern and decorative work. She loves drawing places, animals and people and is inspired by stories, folktales and fairytales. She finds travelling a rich source of inspiration having recently completed a trip to the Far East, where she collected materials and decorative patterns for her work. She works for various clients in editorial and publishing.

Mary works from her studio in London, which she also shares with her black cat. She creates her images with fine line pens, watercolor, collage and digital colour.
