Dockers MC

Laura Dockrill was born in Brixton South London in 1986 and has been writing and illustrating since the age of four beginning with her own short stories. From then on she has continued her strong passion for creative writing and love for the theatre. Aged 16, Laura studied theatre and English at the Brit School where she wrote and directed three of her own plays and enrolled on scriptwriting courses with the Soho Theatre and The RoyalCourt.

Whilst recently completing her Creative Writing degree she has embarked on a number of projects including creating a childrens' book, theatre company and event organising. Within the last year Laura has brought her writing to life by creating "Dockers MC" (spoken word artist), which she believes is a collaboration of her poetry, acting and writing skills. Since then she has gone on to support Kate Nash, Peggy Sue and The Pirates and Scroobius Pip.
